Long Island is quiet but there are some small bars where locals ‘hang-out’ over a few beers. The resort at Stella Maris has a weekly rum punch night with a band. Every weekend there is at least one dance somewhere with music provided by a local rake n’ scrape band or DJ. There are also religious and other community events, festivals and homecomings as well as the yearly sailing regatta.
